How do you get blue highlights in brown hair without going to the salon?

extensions are cool. but if want to dye it, having brown hair youll probably have to bleach it first. i wouldnt go to hot topic for the dye i used their blue dye, it wouldnt stay in my hair and it stained my neck. i did find some really kool stuff online called special effects. just make sure if you do bleach it and dye it to use a really good deep conditioner. there is this treatment you can get at your local beauty supply store called aphoge, its really good stuff. they make the 6 week treatment you only use right before you do ao chemical process to your hair and they also have excellent shampoo and conditioner. hope to be of some help. when you do it you should send me a pic of it. i think its gonna be awesome!!How do you get blue highlights in brown hair without going to the salon?
well sometimes, depending on the brand in order for it to work really well, u would have 2 bleach where u want it colored cuz i got blue highlights that i did at home and it recommended that i bleach it first, but i didnt so it turned out kind of green and dull. but a brand would show on the box how it would turn out in your color hair and here is the website, i just dont think there is any blue...

but i like the purple. the brand i used was temporary which might be y it didnt turn out very well. but idk i hope this helps.


How do you get blue highlights in brown hair without going to the salon?
1.First bleach the parts that you want blue.


Mix Clairol BW2 and a volume 30 developer, paint in the steaks or use foils. Leave in until the hair turns very light blonde.


2.Next use a toner, if you don't the blue will end up green.


3.Then put blue dye on the blond peices of hair.


The longer you leave it, the longer the color will last.

you can buy the color boxes from zehrs or whereever .

you can put lemon juice in parts of your hair and sit out in the sun ,


the natural acids in lemon lighten hair ,
dye the bits of your hair you want blue blonde first, because it wont come out very well in brown hair, (:


oh %26amp; if you get semi-permanent blue you will need to keep re-dyeing it or it will go green. lol
I don't think you can buy a kit with blue as a color- although I could be wrong. Try calling a beauty supply store.





Otherwise I'd say go to the kool aid. Highlights might be tricky but you can do it
Well it would be rare to find blue highlights in box's...but u can look for some...why not just go to the Salon it's better and it's not that expensive
If you want bright blue...then you have to bleach the sections that you want streaked...then add the blue dye.
Buy extensions!!!!! No damage to your hair and you can take them out or put them in when ever you want!
