Is there such a difference between salon shampoo and ordinary shop shampoo?

You get what you pay for when it comes to yor hair! Im cheap on a lot of things but this is not one of them. I used pantene for years because it made my hair soft but if you put it in the microwave you will see that the conditioner has a lot of wax. Store bought shampoo and conditioner that makes your hair feel soft may be leaving a heavy build up on your hair. Matrix has the best products and if you buy them from the salon there is usually a sale on them when you buy both.Is there such a difference between salon shampoo and ordinary shop shampoo?
the price...Is there such a difference between salon shampoo and ordinary shop shampoo?
Salon shampoo is better quality than ordinary shampoo. But salon shampoo is more expensive.
salon shampoo is cheap and nasty
The price
salon products tend to have better quality ingredients and are more concentrated,so theoretically last longer because you need less product.saying that LUSH products are good especially their solid shampoo bars-last ages and smell lush!
difference in price but otherwise pretty much the same. i spent a small fortune on dear hair prducts and they were just the same if not worse then shop brands
Yes, salon shampoos are much better quality, contain far less chemicals %26amp; plastics %26amp; are kinder to the hair. They are highly concentrated so you only need to use a small amount each time. So whilst they might seem more expensive they work out more cost effective in the long run. Also your stylist is the best person to ';prescribe'; which shampoo or conditioner is best for your hair type/condition. Somebody working in Boots or Tescos hasn't had the training we've had %26amp; doesn't have a working knowledge of your hair.

Pantenne for instance contains a plastic that coats the hair thus giving the false appearance of healthy hair. Salon shampoos will actually improve the condition of your hair rather than ';papering over the cracks';.
i never buy salon shampoo too expensive...
no, and people who buy into it are dumb. pantene and tresseme are both really good but affordable brands that some salons use and some offer, but are still much cheaper than the ';salon'; brands. only things to avoid are like sauve and stuff.
Big difference in price. At least in Canada for sure. Brand Names are good, just gotta read what you are getting. Best one to this day, believe it or not is Baby Shampoo, it's the cheapest and the finest. Notice I didn't mention any Brand Names.
about 4 quid
