That would depend on your reason for getting a tan. If you are getting a tan to look better, then that would be the sin of vanity which is one of the seven deadly sins.





My advice is to follow each visit to the tanning booth with a visit to the confessional booth just to be safe.

ADD: I supposed they would try and convince you that Jesus never had a tan, or that Jesus would have chosen to be pale and pasty if he did not have to speak out in the sun (although I am pretty sure that the Ancient Jews were familiar with hat technology).
