If your hair is really damaged, do you need to go to a salon or can you get the right products and do it?

I have type 4b hair, that is dry and lack moisture. I need a good website that tells me what to do and use.If your hair is really damaged, do you need to go to a salon or can you get the right products and do it?
Basically whatever the salon tells you, you probably already are aware of. The most important thing you need to realize is your hair just needs some TLC.

Avoid:

-heat styling tooks (blow dryer, straightener etc.)

-condition your hair as often as possible.

-leave in conditioners work GREAT.

-hair serums will make your hair appear a lot more healthy than they are...good investment.

-don't wash your hair everyday; your hair needs oils in order to become healthy. washing your hair everyday will make it smell clean but it will definitely leave it dry and brittle as the days go on.

Just a few things to help you. Just from experience with some not so great hair, I've definitely learned to learn things for myself, and try to take every measure to fix the damage that I've caused to my hair.If your hair is really damaged, do you need to go to a salon or can you get the right products and do it?
go to ur salon and get biolage conditioner

leave it in for around half an hour and then wash out

this is the same stuff they use for in deep conditionings at the salons

good luck
