Should I bleach my own hair or let a salon do it?

I am going to bleach half my hair and leave the other half brown but I dont know if I should do it my self or have a proffesional do it?Should I bleach my own hair or let a salon do it?
Totally go to the Salon. I did mine and it was $120. Yup, it was alot, but I have dark brown hair and it was down to my waist. Plus, if the professional messed up, he would correct it for free. Lucky me, it came out great!

I don't know what you mean by bleaching half of it, but I'd definitely say let a professional do it. For several years, I bleached my own hair and when I finally decided to bring it back to its natural dark brown color, I needed several very expensive moisturizing treatments to get it to even take the brown dye. It made it dry and thin and, after all that time, my hair was more white than blonde. The professional may be expensive, but they know what they're doing, especially if you're doing something special like bleaching half your head but not the other.
i think you should let a professional do it, my friend bleached hers and it went bright ginger, this was from a box of hair bleach from the store and my other friend done it with strong household bleach and her hair went green lol.. it can also be really dangerous to do it your self because of what bleach can do to your skin, and scalps are very sensitive and also if it gets into your eyes.. if you do do it by yourself, be careful but i'd definately recommend going to a hair salon x
I do my hair in the same fashion you are asking about and I do it myself. Here's what you'll need: #1 A stripper of some sort. I use Born Blone Maxi. Follow the instructions listed. This product will remove all color from your hair. #2. you will need a toner so you don't have neon yellow hair. Follow those instructions also. I have short hair so I do the top blonde and the bottom brown. It's actually a lot easier then you might think. and will cost a fraction of what you would pay in the salon. If it falls to turn out how you want it find a super cuts and they can fix it for pretty cheap from what I hear, good luck you ya and follow the directions carefully
When bleaching your hair if you do it yourself, the colour wont come out the white/blonde you are probably hoping for. The bleach will most likely make your hair an orangish or yellowish colour, depending on how dark your hair actually is.


Its always safer to go to a salon, even if its more expensive. It will probably cost $100-150.
It'll look better for a salon, but if you want to save money, the kits are only like, $10.





Unless you/a friend, family member, etc. knows a lot about hair and can do it for you. My cousin is really good with hair so she did mine, it looked really good.





Leave it to a professional unless you know someone.

omg do not use kitchen bleach like that chris dude told you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that will burn your hair and make it fall out. my uncle tried that and it fell out! let a salon do it. you can be sure they are doing it right. my hair stylist does mine for 35 dollars, but other salons do it @ other prices. call around and ask at different salons.

You could do it yourself, but for the best (and safest) results, go to the salon. Doing it by yourself could be dangerous. You could burn yourself. So, defiantly salon. The price all depends on the salon. Maybe some where around $15,$30, or $50.
It would be better if a proffesional did it cuz they're experienced. Whereas your not and you could do something wrong that could damage your hair.
have the salon do it they put special conditioners in ur hair to help ease the chemicals on ur hair ...unless u want to burn ur hair and make it look like a mop ......up to u
do it yourself with the strongest kitchen bleach you can find.... also, i think it will look really cool.
