What happens when the hair salon thins your hair?

I have thick, curly hair. I love that it is curly and the color and everything, but i just wish it was thinner so that it was easier to manage and so i could wear it in more ways. i just want to know what they do at the hair salon when you get your hair thinned. What happens when the hair salon thins your hair?
Well, they thin your hair. I don't understand -- they don't do any kind of strange peculiar ritual or anything.

The hair is cut. Some hairs are cut very short, while the one next to it is left really long. You are ';thinning out'; the number of hairs that reach all the way to the ends. So it ';appears'; to be less hair, and in actual fact, there will be less hair in the ponytail. But you will still have the same number of hairs you always did on your scalp -- you can't stop those. And they will continue to grow, and in a couple months, they will be long again, and you need to get more of the hairs removed.

It's just that simple. Nothing strange at all. It's just cut. What happens when the hair salon thins your hair?
if you love your hair truly, dont make it thinner, lately you will miss them. instead try to use nice shampoo and conditioner plus hair serum for you to manage them properly. try also twice a month hair treatment fo your kind of hair. I'm telling you, you will love it more. have a nice hair day.
they use this thing that looks like scissors and they kind of cut the parts of ur hair that look thick, and its just like scissors except it cuts SOME strands of hair, it doesnt make ur hair shorter or anything just thinner
they cut off hair in a inconspicuous area

or shave it off in the back near the nape of your neck

it will grow back, so you will have to get it done often
