Fire and evacuation procedures for beauty salons?

Well.... are you asking what you need?

if so%26gt;

-a fire risk assessment needs to be completed

- an alarm system should be in place....detectors, break glass points etc

-Training given to all staff on what to do if there is a fire and to be recorded and done every 6 months

-Practice evacuation to be done as often as you think it needs to be done but once a year is good unless you have a high staff turnover then 6 monthly... record this as well

-Fire Extinguishers should be in place and checked every year

-PAT testing on your appliances should be done yearly

-Make sure everyone knows - staff and public where the Assembly point is when evacuating.

-Make a couple of full time staff Fire Marshall.........they would be in charge of a roll call and calling the fire brigade

If you visit the HSE website, there is information on Fire Risk assessments. It is important that you get some measures in place as the regulations have recently changed (Regulatory Reform (fire safety) order)
